Our expertise covers representation before the Scottish Courts and Tribunals. We can assist with every aspect of your dispute, Court case or litigation. We have had long experience and our Court partners bring over half a century of combined professional expertise, guidance and representation before the Scottish Courts.

We are happy to take instructions from privately funded clients, corporate clients, partnerships and other institutions. We will guide you in your eligibility for Legal Aid and deal with every aspect of your defence in your case before the Justice of the Peace Courts, Sheriff Courts and High Courts. We have long experience in handling compensation claims. When you are the victim of someone else’s fault, we will pursue vigorously any claim you have on your behalf to include negotiating with insurance companies and thereafter raising Court proceedings. Likewise, if you are on the receiving end of a claim, we are more than happy to take instructions and regularly do in defending such claims. We have an association with Digby Brown as part of their compensate network and have access to their particular expertise in relation to high value claims or matters of particular complexity.

We are often involved in debt recovery for a private individual, sole trader, partnership, Limited Liability Partnership or an incorporated or a Limited Company. That includes pursuing outstanding debts on their behalf, thereafter raising the appropriate Court proceedings, instructing Sheriff Officers to take enforcement action and use the appropriate diligence being arrestment, inhibitions and ultimately, if necessary, proceed to liquidation or sequestration. We recognise the importance that this work should be carried out expeditiously and limiting expenditure to a minimum. We have however had long experience of this type of work and are able to provide you with this service if required.

In relation to employment disputes, we regularly represent employees and employers in relation to:-

We have a wide experience in relation to all sorts of other Tribunals and undertake representation at Mental Health Tribunals in terms of the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003 in relation to treatment against a person being detained against their will and their rights in connection with their receiving care and treatment. We will arrange representation at Tribunals and obtain independent medical examinations in advance and consult with the appropriate experts, mental health officers and social workers in relation to any compulsory treatment or hospital detention.
